Frisomat to higher (robot) gear with ArcNC for Panasonic

Frisomat, a well-known player in the field of modular steel construction systems, started back in 1991 with a Valk Welding robotic installation. In 2017, the most recent robot installation was purchased including offline programming.

Because of the higher diversity of parts as well as the growing lack of programming capacity, Frisomat is now also taking the step to "ARP powered by ArcNC for Panasonic". This completely new way of automatic robot programming allows them to easily create robot programmes for new parts.

Stijn De Pooter, Research & Development Engineer, explains: "As soon as we have only 6 equal parts to make, they are welded on the Valk Welding robotic system without discussion. The programming ease of ArcNC is enormously high and the programming time is 6 times shorter than before." With many more very small series suddenly being considered for the welding robot installation, the installation is now already sitting at an OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) of over 80%. And that's how it should be!
