Valk Welding supplies automation for welding production where welding robots, special machines and welding consumables are the most important components. Valk Welding is leading supplier in the field of industrial robotization and welding technology. In the field of robots, we supply systems for various applications, mainly for welding, cutting and handling.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and maintenance services for our clients' equipment in the field. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. The Field Service Engineer will work closely with clients to ensure their systems are operating efficiently and effectively.

As a Field Service Engineer you are responsible for carrying out various activities professionally, safely and cost-consciously. Your duties include:

  • Conduct installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at client sites.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, providing timely solutions.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports on repairs and installations.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to improve product performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide training and support to clients on the proper use of equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while working on-site.

Have you…

  • A degree in Engineering or a related field can be advantageous.
  • Relevant industry experience is desirable.
  • Proven experience in a field service or technical support role is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with clients and team members.
  • A valid driving licence is essential for travel to various client locations.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations is beneficial.

Where are you going to work?
As a Field Service Engineer you will mainly work for our customers in Nothern Ireland, Ireland and the UK, you will occasionally visit our customers in Western Europe or even worldwide.
