Valk Welding announces strategic investment in Ramlab

Valk Welding announces strategic investment in Ramlab, to support and accelerate their international growth in automated 3D metal printing and repair.

Following a successful nine-year collaboration, Valk Welding announces today their strategic investment in RAMLAB, the pioneer in Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM). The investment enables RAMLAB to further expand its position as a global leader in automated 3D metal printing and repair. The capital will be used to further develop RAMLAB's leading-edge MaxQ 3D Print and MaxQ Repair systems, with a focus on delivering a frictionless, automated quality experience for the user.

The partnership between Valk Welding and RAMLAB already resulted in dozens of advanced WAAM systems delivered to clients, trusted by leading organizations such as Vallourec, Deep Manufacturing, and EWI across Asia, Europe, and the United States. This has put RAMLAB's groundbreaking WAAM technology on the global map, seamlessly integrated with the robotic solutions provided by Valk Welding. The seamless integration offers a smart solution for the rapid, on-demand production and repair of large metal parts, leading to significant cost and time savings in the manufacturing industry.
The investment underscores Valk Welding's confidence in RAMLAB's vision and technological lead. As RAMLAB solidifies its position as the market leader in WAAM technology, Valk Welding gains an even stronger foothold in the innovative and rapidly growing additive manufacturing and repair market, moreover facilitating customer’s print and repair jobs with qualitative, certified and reliable welding wire.

"This investment from Valk Welding is a tremendous validation of our technology and strategy," said Vincent Wegener, CEO of RAMLAB. "We have been working together successfully for nine years, and their support is the fuel we need to realize our ambitious growth plans. Together, we will accelerate the adoption of WAAM technology globally and continue to set the standard for quality, automation, and reliability in our industry."

"Our decision to invest was a logical step after nearly a decade of close collaboration. We are deeply impressed by the vision and the technological progress the RAMLAB team has made," added Remco Valk, CEO of Valk Welding. "We are convinced that RAMLAB is best positioned to play a leading role in the market for automated 3D metal printing and repair, and we look forward to supporting their journey closely."
