Valk Welding programs first trailer chassis fully automatically with ARP

Valk Welding has reached a significant milestone in automated welding programming. Using ARP (Automatic Robot Programming) — powered by our long-standing software partner ArcNC — we have completed the fully automatic programming of the first trailer chassis at Tyllis Oy Ab in Finland.

Tyllis is a Finnish manufacturer of customised premium transport solutions: trailers, dollies, crane trucks, semitrailers and more. The complexity and scale of their chassis make this milestone all the more significant. ARP has now proven it can handle large workpieces with a high volume of welds and program them entirely automatically.

This investment will enable growth in our business. It will also increase our efficiency and capacity in our production. Not to forget the high-quality performance in the welding.

Valk Welding has worked with ArcNC since its earliest development, and for both companies this is a defining moment. ArcNC is the Belgian software partner behind ARP. Robotic welding is now a viable solution for batch-of-one production, even with large and complex structures — removing one of the last remaining barriers to full automation of structural welding.
