Valk Welding Opens New Office in Finland

On 18 March 2026, Valk Welding officially opened its new office in Pirkkala, Finland. The opening was marked with a festive gathering attended by customers, partners, company representatives, family members of the Finnish team, and colleagues from the Netherlands — a fitting celebration of this important step in Valk Welding's continued international growth.

The new facility brings together customer support, a training centre, a showroom, a demonstration area, and a consumables and spare parts warehouse under one roof. This enables customers to train, test robotic welding processes, and develop solutions together with Valk Welding's experts in a single, dedicated environment.

The event was also attended by CEO Remco H. Valk, Commercial Director Peter Pittomvils, and James de Villiers — responsible for the ARP software development project — who travelled from the Netherlands especially for the occasion. Their presence underlined that Finland is a strategically important market for Valk Welding, and that the company's commitment to the region is built for the long term.

At the opening, three robot welding cells were showcased as part of Valk Welding's full turnkey service model. Two of these were delivered directly to Finnish customers immediately after the event — a clear demonstration of the team's operational readiness. Behind this achievement is the Finnish team: Samuel Karjalainen, Teemu Rusi and Jyri Luhtio, who have built Valk Welding Finland's operations on the foundation of the parent company's 65 years of experience and European expertise.

The new office strengthens Valk Welding's presence in the Nordic region and enables the company to serve the Finnish and Estonian markets more effectively. Finland represents a strategic market for Valk Welding, and this opening reflects the company's long-term commitment to the region and its confidence in the opportunities that the Nordic and Baltic markets offer.

Nordic Welding Expo

A strong showing at Nordic Welding Expo

The office opening was not the only reason to celebrate in Finland. Valk Welding also participated in Nordic Welding Expo — and for the first time with its own dedicated stand (A601). Under the theme Smart Welding, Strong Manufacturing, Valk Welding showcased its latest robotic welding solutions and automation technology to an engaged audience of manufacturers and industry professionals.

Among the highlights at the stand were the ARC-EYE CSS laser sensor, enabling automatic and reliable seam tracking even on complex and variable parts; the ARP software, which analyses 3D models and automatically generates welding sequences and optimal motion paths — significantly reducing programming time for high mix / low volume production environments; a robot welding station destined for AK Manufacturing, which will serve Alvarin Metalli Oy and Konepaja Tremec Oy; and the RAMLAB robot cell, opening up possibilities for additive manufacturing of large structures and repair welding through WAAM 3D printing technology.

The response at the show exceeded expectations. Over the course of the event, the Valk Welding team held numerous conversations with companies across a wide range of industries — all showing strong interest in smarter, more efficient welding processes. The fair confirmed what the market is telling us: the demand for advanced welding automation in the Nordics is growing, and Valk Welding is ready to meet it.
