This May: Elmia Automation meets Valk Welding

With Automatic Robot Programming (ARP), adaptive weld seam tracking and more, Valk Welding is getting ready to inform the Nordic market from 14 to 17 May 2024.

Our focus

Shortages of welders, robot programmers and other essential resources have all contributed to a stagnation in efficiency that has been observed in many welding companies over the years. Valk Welding aims to bring things up to speed, focusing on high-mix, low-volume production and catering to small to medium-scale production needs.

Automatic Robot Programming

How are we addressing this? Not only through 45 years of welding robot expertise, but also by (co-)developing and offering intuitive (programming) software solutions. ARP, for example, combines automatic weld seam detection, 3D models and program generation in one. With this, we are gradually fulfilling one of our technical missions: to make industrial welding robot programming accessible to every welder.

We will be giving live ARP-demonstrations at Elmia Automation so that businesses can experience this first hand.

Adaptive seam tracking

For precise weld seam tracking during welding, we will also be showcasing the in-house developed ARC-EYE CSS (Circular Scanning Sensor), which corrects positional deviations in real-time. Our showcased cell is also equipped with the ‘Adaptive Welding’ plug-in, adding automatically adjusted welding and pendulum parameters to its capabilities, such as welding speed, welding current, welding voltage, pendulum amplitude and more. This plug-in makes perfect welding possible for parts with variations in weld seam geometry, even when dealing with materials such as stainless steel and aluminium.
