As a leading supplier of wire in drum packaging for robotic welding applications in the metal industry, Valk Welding is now extending its offering to include welding wire in drums for thermoplastic welding applications.
In recent years, Valk Welding has delivered multiple robotic welding systems designed for thermoplastic welding.
Traditionally, the thermoplastic welding industry uses spools carrying 3 or 10 kg of wire. However, drawing from its experience in the metal industry, Valk Welding recognizes that robot downtime due to wire changeovers should be minimized as much as possible.
Drum packaging achieves exactly that—now also for thermoplastic welding applications.
In close collaboration with Röchling Industrial Germany, Valk Welding has developed drum packaging for polyethylene wire.
The selected drum, filled with 40 kg of Polystone® wire, significantly reduces changeover times.
These drums can be fitted with standard WireWizard components such as cones, liners, and pneumatic feed assist motors to ensure an uninterrupted welding process and seamless integration with robotic systems.
