Welding Wire Service Centre

Since 1984, the Welding Wire Service Centre has provided schedulable, flexible deliveries of welding consumables without third-party involvement. We take care of the logistics and quality, ensuring that you receive small to large quantities of welding wire directly from a large stock.

Who are we?

We are part of Valk Welding, a well-established name and supplier in the metalworking industry with over 45 years of experience in welding consumables and industrial welding robots. This creates a unique combination of welding wire knowledge and robot knowledge within one organisation.

With a long company history and expert staff, we bridge the gap between manufacturer and customer: as a user, you can come to us for different quantities of welding wire without third-party involvement. Therefore, you are always in direct contact with our own team of experts.

In today’s dynamic production world, it is increasingly difficult to match the logistics and stocks of wire manufacturers with your daily welding wire consumption. Valk Welding’s Welding Wire Service Centre is the connecting link for you: we hold stocks and offer worldwide logistics service to your production facility.

The Welding Wire Service Centre has:

  • Large stocks
  • Immediate and flexible delivery
  • Scheduled logistical processing
  • Consistent quality wire
  • Knowledgeable and helpful team at your service

Regional and personal service

We understand better than anyone that your production must not come to a standstill. To ensure that you can always rely on consistent and immediate delivery, the Welding Wire Service Centre has strategically located distribution centres in the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Denmark. By constantly expanding our capacities, we can offer a wide variety and quantity of welding wire and keep stock available for you.

For questions as well as logistical and technical support regarding wire selection, you can visit one of our regional customer service points, located in France, Germany and Ireland, in addition to our strategically located distribution centres in the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Denmark. Our centre in Ireland also has extra stock in case of unforeseen circumstances.

How is your welding wire transported?
A large portion of our monthly load of welding wire (800 tonnes!) is shipped by intermodal freight: a combination of train and truck. The longest distance is covered by train, which ensures high delivery reliability without headaches such as traffic jams and strikes. Also, intermodal freight reduces CO2 emissions by 55% compared to deliveries using tracks alone.

The Welding Wire Service Centre has been researching how to provide our customers with the highest quality solid welding wire since 1984.

What we offer

The Welding Wire Service Centre offers an extensive range of welding wires for different welding processes in various diameters. These range from unalloyed to high-alloyed. Our experts will work with you to determine the right wire for your (robotic) welding production.

Standard solid wires and TIG rods are available in:

  • Steel
  • Aluminium
  • Stainless steel
  • High strength steel
  • Nickel alloys

Our welding wires are fully certified and CE marked.

Packaging

We supply steel spools and fully recyclable drums for large quantities of wire. The spooling in the drums guarantee absolutely torsion-free unwinding, which reduces contact tip wear and increases the possible throughput.

TIG rods are supplied in 5 kg hard carton packaging for unalloyed and low-alloyed materials. Stainless steel TIG rods are supplied in 5 kg PE tubes.

During the first tests with Valk Welding wire, it immediately appeared that the processing went more smoothly than what we were used to, so that we no longer had any faults.

Support programs

We offer three different service programs, based on your needs and wishes. Are you unsure about which suits your business best? We will be happy to help.

1. Standard contract

The majority of our customers choose the non-binding standard service contract. With this contract, you will receive (partial) pallet shipments up to full truckload shipments within an agreed timeframe.

2. Call-off contract

With the call-off contract, you receive scheduled (large) volumes within an agreed shipping window at pre-planned shipping times. This means that we keep a personal stock for you, ensuring your welding wire is always available and ready for shipment.

3. Project contract

For projects with strict requirements, we offer a service with even more security. The project contract gives you all the benefits of a call-off contract plus the assurance that the batch number of your welding wire is always the same.

Wire Feeding

Wire feeding efficiency

Now that you have selected the right wire, delivery and packaging, it is time to consider wire feeding. Is it allowing you to maximise the efficiency of your welding cell? Since 1999 we have distributed the Wire Wizard range, a world leader in wire feeding products. Designed for ease of use and flexibility!
