Valk Welding's RWAAS concept featured in World Robotics 2025 – Industrial Robots

The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) has selected Valk Welding as one of the featured case studies in its flagship annual publication, World Robotics 2025 – Industrial Robots. Our RWAAS (Robot Welding as a Service) concept — and the story of how Kumatech Technoworks in the Netherlands chose it — is highlighted as one of nine global case studies in this authoritative industry report.

For a company like ours, this kind of recognition carries real meaning. The IFR's World Robotics report is the most widely referenced statistical and analytical publication in the robotics industry worldwide. Being included in it — not as a footnote, but as a case study representing innovation in robotics deployment — is something we are genuinely proud of.

The case study tells the story of Kumatech Technoworks, a Dutch manufacturing company that was looking for a way to automate its welding operations without the upfront investment and technical risk that typically comes with it. They found the answer in RWAAS. By choosing our subscription-based model, Kumatech was able to get started with robotic welding quickly, with full support, training, and software included — and without having to become robotics experts themselves overnight.

What makes this recognition particularly meaningful to us is that it validates something we have believed in for a long time: that the right business model can be just as important as the right technology. RWAAS was designed to remove the barriers that keep smaller and mid-sized manufacturers from taking the step towards automation. The fact that this approach is now being highlighted on a global stage confirms that we are on the right path.
